The brief
Build a complete, self-contained ADU from the ground up, with a kitchen that handles everyday cooking in a small footprint and a bathroom with a full walk-in shower. Tulip handled design, permits, framing, utilities and every finish, taking the unit from open framing to move-in under one contract.

Key decisions
A raised wood peninsula
The raised ledge screens prep and dishes from the living side and doubles as an eating bar, so a small unit doesn't need a separate dining table.
A curbless-look walk-in shower in charcoal tile
A low-threshold shower behind frameless glass keeps a small bathroom open and easy to use at any age. Charcoal tile hides wear and grout lines and sets off the white vanity.
