How pricing and payment work

After the consultation you get a written summary with an approximate price and timeline, usually within 2–3 business days (4–7 for larger projects). The final price is set in your contract. The deposit is $1,000 or 10% of the contract price, whichever is less; the rest is paid at written milestones as work is completed and materials are delivered, with the final balance at completion.

FAQ

Kitchen remodeling questions

How long does a kitchen remodel take?

Typically 3–5 months from the first design meeting to completion: about 6–12 weeks for design, permits and ordering, then 6–10 weeks of construction. Moving walls or plumbing stretches that to 5–8 months. You get both phases on a written schedule after the consultation.

Can we stay in the house?

Usually, yes. We seal the work zone off from the rest of the house, and we can set up a temporary kitchen area if you want one.

Can you remove the wall to the family room?

Often. An engineer checks whether it is load-bearing and specifies the beam; we include that in the permit set.

Do I have to buy cabinets through you?

No, but buying through us keeps one team accountable for fit and schedule.

Do you help pick finishes?

Yes. We go to showrooms with you and pass along our trade pricing.

What warranty comes with the work?

Tulip's warranty is typically one year on workmanship from completion, plus manufacturers' warranties. Your exact terms are in your contract.

  2. Free in-home consultationA Tulip project leader visits, walks the space with you and talks through your goals, budget and what your city will require. The visit takes about 45–60 minutes (up to 90 for larger projects), with no pressure and no obligation.
  3. A price, then design and contractAfter the visit we send a written summary with an approximate price and timeline, usually within 2–3 business days (4–7 for larger projects).
